The Dogs of Athens, by Kendare Blake

Tor.com, September 9, 2015; 3,785 words
Rating: 2, Not recommended

The goddess Artemis and her hounds make trouble in modern Athens.

Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: The description of the lonely huntress walking the streets of the modern city is touching.

Con: There's no real story here. This a day-in-the-life-of tale. The murder of the young men seems pointless. Presumably Artemis saving the one who reminded her of Acteaon is supposed to symbolize her having changed, but it's hard to say for sure what this story really means.

  1. I agree with the rating and the review.

It is decently written, but when I got to the end, it was a big "So?" and "And?" for me.

If there was a point, I missed it.
