In alternate-history America, an uplifted chimp gets certified as a person and goes to the moon.

Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

This is really a tale, not a story. Events just happen without a lot of connection between them. Pierre gets declared a person, but that's irrelevant to the story. He talks about wanting a vacation, but that doesn't come up again until the end. He has bad dreams and headaches, but, again, those aren't tied to anything else that happens. He goes to the moon and stumbles across the Apollo 20 crew--never mind that there's zero chance that their location wasn't already known. He apparently gets rewarded, even though this was just luck. Etc.
