Review: 2020.290 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: This is pretty much the story of Alice facing up to the things she’s done and trying to make things right. It’s also a story of someone who didn’t really fit in with her bird family but never quite fit into the human world either.
It’s easy to see why she was upset when Roscoe left her. She’d convinced herself he was like she was and that they could be happy together. What she did to him was pretty harsh, though. It’s remarkable that he managed to track her down, but I suppose she gave him enough hints about Elena.
Con: It’s all too easy. Alice pays no price for what she did; she just hands over the money and everything is fine. And she even strengthens her relationship with Elena. This whole thing is a net plus for her. Even though she doesn’t deserve it to be.
