Pro: The best part of this story is the vivid descriptions of being a bush pilot in Alaska. Bill may not be making money out of it, but we sure can see why he wants to do it.
Con: It feels like it’s all set up for an exciting conclusion, but then it just fizzles. Bill flirts with Cora, but nothing comes of it, and Russell never even knows about it. They wanted to check out another site, but end up not doing it. Russell gets lost in the storm, but he gets back on his own.
The speculative element is not integral to the story.
